I met Basil at a local restaurant more than two years ago. We exchanged pleasantries and just had a casual conversation about real estate as I was searching for a house at the time. He told me he was in real estate and I told him I had an agent that was a family friend for years. He still offered to help me with any information I needed. We exchanged contact info. I ran into him a few more times at the restaurant after that. He was always willing to share information and was very helpful. I ended up buying a house through my family agent. Little did I know our paths would cross again two years later when I needed to sell that property and I though immediately about him, since he was so forthcoming and helpful regardless of not being my primary agent. Boy am I glad I contacted him. Not only did he jump on getting people lined up to view the house, he did that during the COVID pandemic. I had an additional challenge of having tenants occupying the house and it was going to be difficult selling the house with that situation. He told me not to worry and continued showing the house and communicated with my tenants directly. He also lined up a dozen viewings in the first week or so, which was surprising even during normal times. He was very flexible and did all of the ground work, so that I wouldn't have to do anything at all. He scheduled all of the appointments, inspections, small fixes, paperwork, etc. I did everything he said and in the end everything worked out really well. Not only did he get me two serious offers on the property in less than two weeks, he resolved my issues with the occupants. He also got me a much higher price on the house than I expected, especially during the COVID crisis.
